How is USCIS handling COVID-19 and Immigration?

Hi this is Kaushik Ranchod here from The Ranchod Law Group coming to you live, and if you have questions, you can always reach out to us at (916) 613-3553 . This video is our live weekly update on immigration facts and events from Sacramento, California.

A question people are asking at our office is about the USCIS: how is USCIS handling interviews with Covid-19? First of all, I hope you are staying safe, and you’re doing well during these challenging times for all of us.

Let’s get back to the question.

So interviews have been postponed by USCIS. If you were scheduled for an interview, you would almost certainly be getting a rescheduling notice. Right now, immigration interviews are being rescheduled.

USCIS will start having interviews again after June 4th. Of course, until things change. So that’s the latest of what is happening right now.

USCIS is continuing to accept applications, and you can continue to file. Also, as an update, President Trump’s tweet that he was going to shut down immigration does not apply to most cases, especially if you’re in the United States.

So if you have questions, I invite you to reach out to us and call us at (916) 613-3553 .

I’ll see you next week. Thanks and have an awesome day.
